Added value

Cactus TMS is built for railway from the ground up. Optional SCADA functionality can be added, with functions such as:
* Collection and supervision of analogue variables, such as temperatures in graphs, including features such as trend indication and reporting.
* The integration of other system features such as traction surveillance via various protocols, such as IEC60870.
* Indication and control via special I/O solutions such as Dupline.
* Protocols for a large number of PLC systems, including OPC.
* Access to Cactus’ own substations, such as Ingo and the CL70, which are fully integrated as DCS stations. Among other things, this means that configuration changes always take place directly and online from the server.
* Via the CL70, access to the fieldbus PROFIBUS and the multitude of various I/O modules and equipment that support this protocol.

Cactus UniView substations

Cactus UniView substations are integrated into the Cactus UniView system solutions, and they provide simple maintenance procedures and access to remote support. The substations can be programmed to work with all existing types of communications devices and they can be connected via standard serial connections or directly to networks.

The substations are available in a variety of models to accommodate the requirements for different I/O scopes or fieldbus connections. Cactus INGO and CL70 are the fourth generation of Cactus substations.

INGO

Cactus INGO – smaller to mid-sized operations

The Cactus INGO is a very compact and cost-efficient substation. Despite its small size, it’s a fully fledged Cactus UniView substation. Compact housing, low power consumption, and space-saving assembly options on DIN rails are a few other valuable characteristics. It’s possible to hook up approximately 200 I/O to INGO, making it perfect for the remote operation of a relay interlocking system for a smaller station with 2 to 3 platform tracks.

CL70

Cactus CL70 – for larger operations

The Cactus CL70 is a monitoring system for larger operations. It’s possible to hook up approximately 2 000 I/O to these substations.

The I/O can either be attached locally or distributed throughout the station. The I/O are connected to a PROFIBUS and we support a number of different I/O modules, the most common being the Beckhoff I/O module.

The CL70 can accommodate four separate Profibus loops, each containing a maximum of 128 nodes.  The CL70 can also be equipped with a display that enables local control. In addition to this, the CL70 can also be programmed to accommodate a variety of protocols, such as the IEC60870, or older protocols such as Comli or Modbus.
